Vision and Values
At Manorside Academy we develop positive relationships with our pupils and their families through a collaborative approach, to ensure they feel part of our school community. Our meticulously planned curriculum provides opportunities to develop pupils’ cultural capital through offering a range of life experiences whilst promoting a love of learning and instilling our high expectations. We continuously strive to create a highly inclusive culture through quality first teaching with reasonable adjustments, putting the pupils at the heart and forefront of what we do. Through quality first teaching and learning, we want every child to leave having fostered a love of reading and have an understanding that reading is what allows them to access the whole curriculum and ensures they can continue to thrive.
We believe that school values are the compass of how our children here at Manorside make decisions and respond to social interactions effectively and appropriately. They are our shared beliefs and values that promote our inclusive learning environment allowing all of our children to become well-rounded individuals who have the skills to reach their full potential. Our school values were chosen by the school community and are: respect, kindness, resilience and being unique.
· Resilient - We practice being strong on the inside, persevering and trying our best to achieve our goals and learn from our mistakes.
· Respectful - We listen to others, respect differences in beliefs, differences and opinions, always valuing others' thoughts and feelings.
· Kind - We are compassionate, thoughtful and supportive to all inside and outside our school community, understanding that positive relationships make our school a happy place .
· Unique - We understand that we are all created differently, and we need to celebrate diversity, accepting that we all have special strengths and gifts that are to be celebrated and nurtured.
